The same material that is used on the floor of a dog carrier.  Although it's
not very macho, after seeing one of our pugs shot out of my daughter's loving
lap during a panic stop, I have to go along with the animal lovers concern for
dogs riding in cars without the benefit of seat belts.  Our pug was thrown
from the rear seat to beneath the dashboard in a heartbeat.  Fortunately she was
not hurt; apparently pugs are as tough as they are funny-looking.
