BenT, I'll probably have a small one-foot diameter camping weber and charcoal in the trunk of my Westy. Since I've never been to a Van-O-Rama, I'm not sure how the food situation goes. In my past experience with neighborhood block parties, one way to easily share food is to designate one area, like a table as a "shared food" table. Anyone that wants to share food and drink, puts food in that place. If you bring food to eat for yourself or your family, then keep that by your chairs. If you do things this way, there's no pressure to bring something and no need to organize things. Also, people that want to be sure to get food for their families can bring a small amount for themselves and not have to worry about making a bigger batch of food.

The logistics for this would just require a table in the shade and maybe a sign.

Do we have any plans on how to share food at Van-O-Rama tomorrow?

BTW, should I start a YahooGroups list or something so that people in the SF Bay area can talk about this off the main vanagon list? I know that several other people expressed a desire for a SF Bay specific list, primarily to discuss things like good local camp spots for Westies, mechanics, local parts, and maybe some mutual assistance or social gatherings.

If this doesn't exist and the SF Bay people are okay with Yahoogroups (I know there's issues, but it works for the Subaru-vanagon people and the Turbovan people), then I'll create one and start collecting SF-specific info like more recent experiences on VW shops and the latest scoop on CA emission tests in metro areas.
