From: Dave Chameides <docproteus@EARTHLINK.NET> Subject: floppy vent window

So its been fairly hot lately and Ive been noticing that the triangle windows ... [are floppy] =snip=

Hi Dave,

I have had the same problem, particularly on an earlier Westy I owned. I finally took the door apart and found a small tension adjustment screw just below the lower pivot hinge. Unfortunately, to get at the screw head the entire window assembly would have had to have been removed, a job I was not ready to undertake. I'm not sure whether someone had removed it earlier and reinstalled it backwards or whether it was just so poorly designed. I have not looked at another one since that time. Good luck.

Warren 88 Westy "Billy Bones" 87 GL "Long John" (will have a new owner this week).
