I use Lubromoly 10W40 year round (California climate) for my 85 Westfalia and the lifter noise has not reappeared for 10000 miles. I know this is available in Ontario because I know a decent mechanic in Newmarket who use the stuff. Fint

Some who have made a workable fix have used Marvel Mystery Oil - not available in Ontario (Canada) anymore. A product called Rislone available at CTC supposedly works similarly. Has anyone "cured" the lifter noise with Rislone? If not MMO, or Rislone, then what? Thanks Darryl
