Mike, Sure, if you tell me how yours were named.

Here's the long version. A few years ago I decided I wanted to retire, and to spend some time traveling in the states. I wanted a van to carry my gear and for camping and sleeping. I saw an ad for a 93 Eurovan that had a rear seat which folded out to a bed. I eventually bought it but kept it less than a year because I was unsatisfied with it and I had discovered Vanagons. However, the license plate for the Eurovan was Enu642. I liked the symmetry of the plate but otherwise didn't pay attention to it, or use it as a name.

On the day I sold the Eurovan and was about to buy the 89 Westy, my stepdaughter (think adult eccentric female) asked me what I would name the Westy. Because of an unusual number of coincidences, both the Eurovan-- being sold, and the Westy--being bought, were on opposite sides of the street in front of our house. I happened to be holding the Eurovan's license plate when she asked the question. Without thinking about it, I looked at the license plate and responded that the Westy's name was Enu.

The name stuck. I like it, although a lot of people seem to think I misspelled Emu. Enu and I have traveled to both coasts and into Canada. This fall we will probably go east again and then south to somewhere warm

I'm glad to know Enu can have another meaning particularly because I hope to acquire a dog after my elderly cat dies. Now I can tell people that I like dogs, which I do, and that the name was chosen because it's Japanese for dogs.

End of story. Your turn.

Dan 89 Westy -- Enu
