A point not mentioned here ( I think ) is the recommendations I got with my recent bought bicycle that I should avoid having the bike on a REAR mounted rack when driving in rain . This because the waterpressure on the bike might even extend that of a hi-pressure washer hose and there is a risk of flushing all grease out of wheelbearings, chain and gearbox ..... I donīt think that even their worst nightmares include anyone putting it up front :-)
