> Genuine Vanagon mats--Available at the infamous Parts Place > up in Michigan. $39.00 per see of two-- Black mats with a > dark tan background, and light tan/ yellow "Vanagon" > Lettering. Nice mats--I have two sets of them---
These are not "genuine" mats, in the sense that they were Volkswagen products - they are aftermarket. The manufacturer (who makes mats with lots of different car brands and logos on them) discontinued them about eight years ago; I guess Parts Place has some old stock. I sold them way back when they were still made, for about $30 as I recall. I personally found the yellow Vanagon "logo" a little tacky (it isn't really an official logo, more like the word Vanagon with an oval around it), but liked the mats overall, especially for price. The closest thing I have now is a set of German mats for $69, at <http://busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=VW10006>. They are better than the logo'd mats (heavier rubber, with deeper channels to hold more water or snow), but then again they're also more expensive. - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. www.busdepot.com (215) 234-VWVW _____________________________________________ Toll-Free for Orders by PART # : 1-866-BUS-DEPOT |
