More stories than anyone has time to hear or me to tell, of the years (25+)
and 3 million+ miles I've spent on the highways of the US and Canada (Oh,
highway). But I did go through customs every Monday for about year and 3
months of that time I did not have a licence plate on my tractor.
I was legal and had the paper work to show why it wasn't there, but;
"no one ever noticed it missing!"
