It's not just Santa Cruz. It's San Fran South to San Diego. They dont' rust here and they're perfect for adventures in wide open spaces -- and you've got scads of mech's who keep 'em alive (gowesty for example). You wouldn't believe how many Vanagons you see from Huntington Beach to San Clemente. I go surf in the AM a lot at Huntington. Any day there may be as many as 4 Syncros in the parking lot. (all westys) San Onofre Beach is sometimes like an unofficial old VW show. Dixon!
