If there is anything in front that needs an upgrade... The instrument cluster could be the start. They all crumble, look ancient, collect dust,speedos break and wobble etc I keep looking at some Audi clusters thinking perhaps one can be fitted into Vanagon...but brake cylinder may be too close...
