The best route to follow leads to your VW dealer; just make sure you take
your wallet with you.  All the other choices I have seen come with compromises,
sometimes in the quality of the material and always in the fit.


In regard to having a shop fabricate the pipes, a dozen years ago I went to a
shop which claimed they could make a stainless system for any car.  When I
showed them a Vanagon header, they looked at me like I was crazy.
