I have to agree whole heartily with George on his analogy of anything bought after market, be it from JC Whitney, or the BD. Buy the cheap suit, ( or exhaust system in this instance) it'll look no better than the price you paid for it. This whole process of saving a dollar now will in the long run cost twice the price. Sometimes just making do with the cheap, inexpensive, replacement parts will surely get you down the road, but for the long haul you'll be doing the job twice or even three times depending on how long your partnership with your vehicle is in good standing. Nothing is better than a factory dispensed replacement part, and as far as the exhaust system goes I think would want to do this job as infrequently as possible.( or pay to have it done ) only once in the co existence with my Vanagon. I figured it out like this; The factory original equipment pipes lasted 14 years. I replaced them all last year. They will be good till the year 2018. Why go for the JC Whitney / Bus Depot made in Taiwan / Bangladesh / Korea pipes that maybe will survive just 4 to 5 years at best? The VW pipes fit right without rubing them, the longevity factor is there, and the laborious act is usually a one time event.

Pay a couple more bucks for a suit that fits and be done with it.

I like that concept.

The picture you painted was perfect George.

And for a muffler that fits perfect, has a lifetime warrantee, the Walker muffler is the best dollar wise deal available.
