Knock any snow and ice off of boots and shoes and put in a good stuff sack -
one with a water resistant coating
Put the stuff sack in your sleeping bag with you
Your body heat will at least keep them from freezing solid if it doesn't
actually dry them
Thatıs what I do in the backcountry in the winter
