I had smoked trout in my van last week - didn't smoke it, of course, just bought it and put it in the refrigerator and had a bit of related trash in the van for a few hours.

It's warm out, my van has been sitting closed in the sun - when I go in, I smell smoked trout, days later.

I can't imagine what it would be like if I'd cooked something smelly in there!

But then, I seem to have a weird van kitchen - I seem to be the only person known to vanagonauts who has to worry about defrosting her Domestic refrigerator and who regularly has things freeze in there.
