The factory procedure is to base clear the bumper, as the body is painted. A flex agent in the clear will eliminate rock chips and marring the top coat. This is the correct way of refinishing the bumper's. A bit more of an expensive than a rattle can paint job, but will offer much more long term durability and will enhance the Vans overall appearance and value.
