That is right. I use a small muffin fan. I use the power that feeds the thermal switch for the main fan. I connect it with a on/off switch so it can be run even when the main fridge fan is not coming on as that will keep the inside of the Westy cooler and the main fan will run less. The main Westy fan blows hot air out from behind the fridge at a higher rate than the smaller muffin fan can exhaust it. For this reason it is best to have the exhaust fan run even when the main fan doesn't so don't connect the exhaust fan power lead to the output of the thermal switch, use the input side.
