Twenty-some years ago I took one -- two, actually -- of those tests that's supposed to help you decide on the type of work you'd like to do. The man who administered the test came within an ace of flat-out calling me a liar, and his disbelief stuck out like bumps all over him. And he gave these tests every day. What had him all in a swivet was that I showed 98th-percentile affinity with artists and musicians, 95th-percentile affinity with scientists and doctors (particularly female doctors, curiously enough) and engineers. And 10th-percentile or lower with practically everyone else...I think it was 2nd-percentile for accountants and the like.
