Hi folks. I've just completed updating my web site (conversion of 90 westy automatic) with the following information: 1. Methodology and results of mileage testing. 2. Updated video (less compressed) of a couple of 0-60 and quarter mile runs. 3. Results of performance testing after modifying automatic transmission governor for higher shift points. 4. Link to an excel spreadsheet I came up with to determine mileage cost recovery given two different engines/vehicles. The site: http://my.tbaytel.net/guskers The updated info and spreadsheet is on the conversion/performance testing page. At this point, other than some air/fuel fine tuning, the project is done. My initial goal was to replace the overheating (cracked cylinder heads) wasserboxer with something giving greater power, reliability, and mileage. As you'll see looking at the site, success on all three points. I think the results indicate that a properly set up digifant management system can give both good power, and great mileage. The vehicle starts, idles and runs perfectly... no hesitation, stumbling, stalling etc. |
