Subject: A/C fuse out - but WHERE is it??
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Good evening, everyone -

My A/C had been working fine all summer. But today the system shut down while I was using it. Didn't die slowly or overheat, just went dead. That lead me to believe it might be a fuse.

With my a/c system, the temp switch overrides the fan switch (ie. if the temp switch is off, the fan will not opperate. temp switch on to any setting, the fan can work on any of 3 speeds. Don't know if everyone else's is like that or not.)

Anyway, I checked the fuse box up front and all the small fuses are good. The heater fan does work, but I think that is a seperate fan system, if I'm not mistaken.

So what would be the next most likely place to check. I have a feeling it is a fuse somewhere else, but where is the fuse that opperates the A/C temp switch?. Am I on the right track here?

Any thoughts appreciated.

thanks!

Scott K.
