We did that last year, only our Westy Syncro cost a little more than $1000.00! Actually I think that one would be hard pressed to get there and back for $1000.00 or under after paying $500.00 for the van. It is probably 3500 miles, not sure, our odometer does not work, you would use 175 to 200 gallons of fuel costing $2.00 per for a total of $400.00(rough math). Airfare alone would be $350.00 or so(per person). It is a great trip though, and I plan to repeat it someday, minus the dead alternator on I-5, and the clutch in Whitehorse.
