Hi Volks I need some help. I was driving my Vanagon Westy along today and noticed a rear wobble. I stopped to look and found my right (passenger) wheel at a slight tilt and my, this is where I need help, suspension broken. I do not know the correct terminology for this. I would call it a swing arm in an older bus. It's the large formed steel channel, a squashed oval piece that connects up just behind the rear jack point, it's bolted to swing I am pretty sure, and the other end carries the coil spring, lower shock mount, I think the axel/wheel mount or what carries the mount, etc.. Can anyone tell me what I'm talking about? Can this suspension piece be purchased through a list vendor, or VW only, or welded only?? I know what all this stuff does, but am having a hard time expressing myself due to a lack of the correct terms, and am unsuccessful at searching 'cause I don't know what to call the broken parts. Any help would be appreciated. The bus is going onto a ramp truck and off to my mechanic in the morning and if I should know something it would be nice to know beforehand.
