Has anyone used the spider netting,
used on the back of ATV'S ?

One sub-optimal part of the design of my former bungee web was that it was
tied at each bungee
junction so that if it was tight on one side, and loose on the other side,
there was no way to use
the loose bit over on the tight bit. SO! I decided to use rings at each bunge
junction to allow
the bungee cord to slide around from any tight places to loose places.

I measured the length needed, and went to Canadian Tire and bought enough
bungee cord to do the
job.  I used fairly thin bungee cord.

I went to Home Depot and bought some rings for the bungee cord to slide
through.  The ones I found
are made by KingChain and are called a "Harness Ring", product code 0 66366
46361 3. I used 1"
rings, but smaller might have been better.

I re-cycled the hooks from my former bungee spider-web and threaded/hooked it
all together.  I
left a foot extra bungee-cord on one end, so that I can loosen/tighten it as
need be.  With the
rings, any adjustement will be effective thoughout the roof-rack.  Photos are

I have not yet tried this with 'stuff' up there, so I may have to make
adjustments.
