My lp tank underneath has been removed and the fridge is also gone. For the stove I have a rack of 14oz bottles as one of the items in the hole where the fridge was. The bottles are only there for camping time and are used singly as needed for the stove. They also fuel my portable fridge which usually sits outside the van unless I am running it on 12vdc. The five pounder is for trips like jerome where I was there for three days. I hook it to the fridge outside and donΉt need to check for empty tanks.

Many others in the club with bays or splitties and use their stoves heavily will carry a 10 or 20 pounder strapped down securely inside or for those like me with an additional cargo rack on the rear for two inch hitch receiver, strapped down there. Note that the on euro campers many used a 3 or 6 pound butane tank inside mounted. Seen that setup on a bunch of splitties as well.
