I just installed four Michelans after using Yokohamas for about 25,000 miles on my 89 Westy with 165,000 miles. It's a restored vehicle with many new major parts. The Yoko's were pretty much fried after 25,000 miles.

Their ride was good and I can't complain about traction except in snow where they were not good. The Michelans are clearly better but more expensive. They give a better ride and seem to track better. What I mean is, (and I didn't realize this was a problem with the Yoko's), they don't wander at highway speed. I hadn't realized the Yoko's did this until I switched to another brand. It's a subtle effect. You might not even notice.

I'd give the Yoko's a "B" and, so far, the Michelans an "A." I'm betting they wil give me more miles.

Dan R. ENU, 89 Westy 4 speed
