From the battered south...where the rain just keeps on comin' Here's a thought on 5+gal extra. Put a Marine outboard tank in the westy luggage rack. Fill it on the ground and grunt it on up. Secure with non stretch webbing. Use the standard primer connector used for outboard motor applictions to drain the tank into the main tank through the filler tube. Works for syncros too with a longer feed tube. Or order one of Gary Lee's wonderful racks with one or two NATO can mounts and carry 40l of extra on the back.

NATO cans are 'sealed' don't leak even when horizontal.
