Warren,

You can buy a new seal for the top of the shaft. The part number is right on the old one. Sometimes the sticking is a result of the nut on the top of the shaft being too tight (or loose, I guess). The nut is held in place with a lock plate, so it doesn't matter how tight it is.

A new seal & relieving the up or down tension on the shaft can remedy the drivability problems to a great degree even though the shaft & body are worn.
