Subject: Call for Photos for a VW Bus/Van/Eurovan 2005 Calendar - version 2
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Volks,

Based on your inputs from yesterdays post I have made a couple of changes.

I'll make the calendar available in two versions.

A free PDF download for folks that want to do their own printing.

A professionally printed high quality calendar "At Cost" for those that want something nicer.

In a few days I'll put the photos on my server so that you can see what's being submitted

Note some of the photos being submited don't meet the "Minimum Size & Resolution Requirements" and unfortunately can't be used.

The Calendar Publisher prints the photos at a 11"x8.5" size.

This means that anything less than a 1028 x 764 image will be stretched too far and the quality will suffer too much.

Please take a moment and read thru the,

Guidelines for photo submissions:

http://www.roadhaus.com/Calendar%20Image%20Info.html

Remember .. The larger the size and resolution .. The better quality the photos will be.

Photo Requirments:

Size: 1024x768 minimum ... 3300x2550 or larger even better (send the largest you have) Orientation: Landscape .... no Portrait Orientation please!!! Resolution: 300DPI (preferred); minimum acceptable is 150DPI File format: TIF, RAW, BMP, GIF, or JPEG formats (others may be ok, please inquire) Color set: CMYK the best, RGB ok (if you don't know what this means, don't worry) Compression: Please use the least amount of compression or no compression at all.

Please include the following information about your image submission:

Your Name Vehicle Name / if any Vehicle Model & Year Location of Photo Date of Photo Comments

We are getting some great pictures!

If this works out well, I may do a few specialty calendars like Syncros, Air Cooled, Eurovans etc.

Your inputs are most welcome.

Lar

Original Calendar Post

With your help, I'd like to take the lead on putting together a "High Quality" VW Bus/Van Calendar for 2005.

I'll gather the best digital photos from list members and have everyone vote on the Best "13".

Any VW Truck, Van, Bus or Eurovan is eligible for consideration.

I'll host the photos on my server so that everyone can see the submissions and vote for their favorites.

The 13 photos with the most votes will be published into a High Quality 2005 calendar that can be avaiable to all "List Members" at Cost.

Estimated to be $10-$12.00 per unit.

Calendar Description:

Photos on the calendar will be full page at 11" X 8.5" Coil-bound 60-pound white interior paper Full-color (CMYK) interior ink 100 pound white exterior paper Full-color (CMYK) exterior

Here's a quick mock up of what the Calendar would look like.
