O.K., I give up! I bought an '89 Vanagon (Wolfburg edition) last December, assuming that, in time, all would be revealed to me. I even bought the Bentley manual to speed up the process. But I still haven't been able to find the brake fluid reservoir. The manual shows it under the driver's side floor mat, but it's not there--unless it's that thingy that I've been pouring windshield washer fluid into. So where is it? I removed both grills when my power steering started groaning, but found no reservoir there for either the steering or brakes (silly me, of course the power steering reservoir is in the back; I found that by looking in Bentley.) So where is it? Please!
