Subject: Sourcing non-standard hollow crush washer for oil drain plug
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi All,

My oil drain plug was replaced with a 5/8" bolt by the PO. If I use a regular copper washer, I get a slow leak at the drain bolt. I want to use a hollow crush washer (like on a spark plug) or a gasket or o-ring or something. Anyone have clever ideas on

- how to how to seal the leak (what to use?) - where to get 0.650" ID X ~0.865 OD hollow crush washers? - would an o-ring work?
