Subject: rear suspension ouch

Rear suspension swing arm from VW (only supplier of new I could find) $1225.00 Ouch and the closest one is in Ft. Worth, and heavy (read expensive), to ship to where I am. Thought about a used part, but I live on the northeast coast and don't want another rusty part. I wish I had time to scope out a Midwest yard with a bunch of vanagon donor vehicles, but that kind of yard may be a thing of the past. Still haven't heard from many who have seen this problem. The other one is real solid. Can't figure this one out. Mileage is only 90k, 35k with me. Garaged and cared for by an older couple (retirement trip vehicle), very well taken care of/restored by me. No heavy off roading, just the occasional rough dirt road or over a few curbs while moving sets for the local community theatre. Nothing the vehicle wasn't built for. It is a Camper, after all.
