I currently have 3 '85 Westies in the shop and all of them have the center seat rails. Perhaps the center seat option was common on '85s.

Looks like a pretty decent van on the outside. You have something special in that it appears to have been outfitted for the center seat. If you lift the carpet you should see a couple of rails that a center seat slides onto. That usually wasn't an option available on US vans, so you might have a Canadian model (unless it was retrofitted by a previous owner.)

You didn't have an pictures of the drivers side, so I can't tell for sure.
