Car-Part is basically a used parts advertising service. Anyone auto parts recycler can advertise there. It is a good resource, but exercise the same caution that you might when buying something off of Ebay, as it is more akin to that than to an online retailer. One difference as compared to Ebay is that you are dealing with commercial junkyards, not some guy with a Vanagon in his backyard. Then again even some junkyards can be crooks, and unlike Ebay there isn't a "feedback" record to review. I'd strongly advise paying by credit card, as this offers you some protection in the case of a dispute. Then send the junkyard an email detailing the description and conditon of the part that you think you are buying, and see if they confirm this by email. This gives you something "in writing" in the event that what you get is not what was promised and you have to contest the charge.
