I've been trying to find an affordable U-joint to fix my steering problem but at this point I may have to go to the dealer ($150). In the fear that this may not be the problem and it might be the steering rack, I was thinking about removing the U-joint to see if there is still a great deal of resistance in the steering rack. It might save me $150. So my question, what surprises will I run into trying to take the U-joint out? Do other parts have to come out as well and can it be removed by itself. Thanks as usual.
