No matter what you use you have to find he source of the rust. In my case it was from the inside pannel (which seem to be the consensus on the list) So if you fix the rust from the outside it will likelly reappear in a few years as it seems to be the norm that the seam rust comes from the inside of the vanagon and works its way to the outside from the seams. I use Crown rust treatment from the inside pannel to try and halt the rust. Pascal "84 Westy
