Try The Beetle Clinic in San Mateo, just across the SM bay bridge. While he may not need the vanagon business he owns a syncro and drives it daily.

i recently moved to fremont, california (certainly not the brightest thing i've ever done) and am starting to think about getting my van ready for winter. i just put on new tires so i'd like to get the alignment checked, but i'm a little wary of going any place that is not specifically reccomended to me by someone with a vanagon. i'd also like to get a few other things checked out, so if anyone knows of a good garage, that would be even more helpful, since they could probably tell me where to get the alignment.

i'm not looking for a place specifically in fremont (although the closer the better), but i'd like not to have to drive all the way to san francisco or santa cruz, which are the two closest places where i have any idea where to take my van. does anyone know a good shop in the southern part of the east bay or penninsula?

thanks.

Ben.
