Your switch is burning out because the blower motor needs lubrication and is drawing too much current. My 82 diesel got to the point that it would burn out the fuses and switches. I replaced the fuse with a new plug in type fuseholder and a 30 amp fuse. It still burned out switches regularly. When replacing the heater core, I drilled an access hole in the blower fan blade and drizzled oil down the shaft of the motor. That was 7 years ago. Same switch. Ever wonder why the switch never burned out for the first 8 years? Al Brase 69 double cab, Vanagons
