But soapy water does not compress. That is what I am talking about. I never said to use gasoline :-) If you suck too much water into the combustion chamber, you will have no crankshaft or connecting rods to speak of. My inquiry was about how much water might that take, and could it get into the combustion chamber through a big enough leak? How much is up for debate, but its just seems kind of risky, since one is looking for a leak and has no idea how big, or where it is.

Using a carb cleaner in that manner will not send you any new customers, thank goodness :-)
