Hi Joe,

I had some work done a while ago by a place in Mt. Kisco NY, which is either upper Westchester Cty or lower Putnam Cty - fairly easily accessible by the train from Grand Central. They are called Auto Works, at 542 Main Street in Mt. Kisco, tel (914) 241-2124. They did some work on my van last November when I got stranded on the Saw Mill. They are a VW place, very nice. Not cheap.

Larry Chase also has a few places on the Island listed on his site: http://www.roadhaus.com/shops.html#New%20York

I don't know of any in the city (in The City, that is!).

Joy
