Joy: Yes, the coolant light will flash steadily if there is air in the top of the expansion tank (not the one behind the license plate-it's supposed to have some air- the one to the left, The sensor is a little finicky, but it's usually right. That doesn't mean it's hot in this case. Pretty confusing, because the same light will be flashing when it's overheating.
