I recently helped someone who had running issues on a 1.9l. The van only has 51k miles on so it sits at times. At times the van would run fine but then it would start running like crap, sputtering and what not. You would have to feather the gas to keep it going. He had already replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, fuel filter, tried a differnt pump, temp II sensor, and O2 sensor. I checked for any vacum leaks, ran it without the O2 sensor hooked up. Had fresh gas in there with cleaner. Found out the cap and rotor he used where not Bosch so I got Bosch parts and yelled at him to always stick with bosch. Still no luck. Last week I put in a new fuel pump relay and it seems to have cured the problem. He has taken it out on several rides and said it it running and idling perfect.
