Subject: Usable Parts--Aircooled 83 to Watercooled 84
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Volks,

I bought an 83 air-cooled van to use as a body parts donor for my 84 Westy and have some questions about powertrain parts swapability.

1. Will the windsucker fuel pump work on the waterboxer?

2. Will the 83 A/C propshalves work on the 84?

3. Will any of the engine control parts work?

4. Ditto alternator?

5. Ditto rocker arms, pushrods and lifters?

TIA, John Houser, Jr. 84 westy
