This subject reminds of a piece of art I created lately. For those that can appreciate the quirkiness of pre-war British Lucas (or pre 2004 for that matter) - and Vanagon engineering wonders - you will appreciate this. For some ungodly reason I decided to assimilate a Pre-War Lucas fuel pump with an 84 Vanagon Air intake unit. I wondered - would it take off. The result was out of this world and is featured on the home page of my website.

The Borg could not have done better.

Taping the pump makes it work again for a while. The whiles keep getting shorter and shorter till that doesn't work. So maybe internal screen in the pump is getting clogged?
