Mike,

This is an EXCELLENT solution to the problem and pretty damn clever to boot. Cheap, effective and right to the heart of the matter.

I recently had reason to purchase some anti-skid tread material from an industrial supply house. It is available in sheets and uses an aluminum foil substrate. I do not know the compsition of the grit, but it and the pressure sensitive adhesive backing have some real balls. It is far diffrent from the kind of stuff you find at Home Depot for lining the bottom of your bathtub.

While I have little reason to climb on my bumpers, I am going to use your great suggestion and mount some just so that I can wash the roof more often than once every 5 years.

Thanks.

George
