There are several types of screw extractors that will work in removing the
'shell' that remains.
I'd start with the simple drive in type with the fluted sharp edges and if
that doesn't get it try the reverse spiral type extractor.

The 83 diesel I bought had an aftermarket VDO oil pressure unit installed
and it started leaking quite a bit.  I decided to take it off and as I began
to loosen the bronze ³t² that comes out of the engine (the VDO oil sensor
screws into the end and the stock sensor screws into it at a right angle),
the brass T broke right off, leaving a small piece of it in the engine
(screwed into place).  It seems like it is a small piece, and not even a
complete circle at that, but Iım afraid of messing up the threading in the
engine if I start digging around in there.  Any thoughts?
