    You obviously have never taken a Vanagon fuel pump apart and dry run it.
I freaked out to see the shower of sparks emitted from the brushes. I guess
since they are totally immersed in gasoline there is isn't any oxygen to
cause a problem. Another reason never to run out of gas.
