Hi there,

VW changed the connection for the speedo in 82 to a stick on; means 80 and 81 are screw on. I know because I've an 80 and am still looking for a speedo.

<snip> Can anyone tell me what style connector the '84 and up vanagon cable uses?? screw style or clip style.

thanks

James M. Foust <snip>

Both my current '84 and my '85 have clip on speedometer cables. However, I used to have an '84 that had a screw on cable. I don't know if my current '84 was "Updated" by a previous owner or not.

Mike
