I just put my fridge back in yesterday. Those "flexible" tops on the intake/exhaust tubes mostly flex in-and-out and not up-and-down. If you have the hole a quarter higher, I think you will have trouble pulling the tubes to it and when you do, the angle will not match the metal skin, so you won't be able to get the exterior parts (plate and rubber gasket, etc) to be flat again it. It has to be flat against the exterior skin to seal the intake tube.
