I have used Hylomar on the paper gaskets that fit on the ends of some of
the coolant flanges on the heads. In my case it failed after only a year. I
use the orange phosphate free coolant in my vans and perhaps this is the
reason it failed. I now use the silicone head gasket sealant on these paper
ones and so far no leaks. My 2 cents.
