True, but not real problem.  Leave the EGR box in place with the wires
hooked up and run the one piece speedo cable next to the EGR box.  Your EGR
lights and your speedo will work fine.

BTW:  We sell the the one piece cable for $10.67

Warning on that cable....what state are you in and how do they conduct air
checks.  Here in colorado the light for the egr is required to pass.  So
unless you do some wiring to make the light still function normally that
cable cannot be used.  Same in California and others.
