I am presently working with Ventura Warehouse Group (VWG) to reproduce this item. Prototyping is currently underway and we hope to intro this item sometime in the middle of next year, maybe earlier. This will be a proper repro, not a make-do modified piece. Volkswagen, in there infinite wisdom (or apparent lack thereof), has discontinued this part. With about 4 years worth of air cooled Vanagons still being driven around the world, the obsolesence of this part was a shot in their foot IMHO.

In addition, we are also prototyping the Wasserboxer Intake Elbow as well

Stay tuned.

Looking for the intake elbow (boot) for a 1980 air-cooled vanagon. Part# 071 129 967 (afm to throttle body) The elbow has been replaced with the water cooled elbow part# 025 129 967a, and the alignment and fit is very poor. The Bus Depot paper catalog lists the item but it is not found on the catalog web site.
